RIKEN (THAILAND) CO., LTD. Acquires Land Adjacent to Its Factory

RIKEN (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (Head Office: Pathum Thani Province, Thailand; Director, President: Hiroki Ieda), a consolidated subsidiary of RIKEN TECHNOS CORPORATION (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Kazuaki Tokiwa), has signed a sale and purchase agreement for the acquisition of land adjacent to its factory, aimed at strengthening its production structure for the future.

▼Background and Purpose
As a key production site for the ASEAN region, including Thailand, RIKEN (THAILAND) manufactures and sells polyvinyl chloride compounds.
To respond to the expanding demand in the ASEAN region, RIKEN (THAILAND) expanded its production facilities in 2023 to increase its production capacity. With a view toward medium- to long-term business growth and a more stable supply structure, a decision was made to acquire land adjacent to its factory. This acquisition will increase the factory’s land area to approximately 1.2 times its existing size.
The specific use of the acquired land has not been determined at this point, but RIKEN (THAILAND) will consider the optimal usage the acquired land, taking into account various possibilities, including future factory expansion, expansion of its production capacity, and strengthening of its logistics functions.
