RIKEN VIETNAM CO., LTD. Starts Full-Scale Operation of Solar Power System

RIKEN VIETNAM CO., LTD. (Head Office: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Representative Director and President: Kazuhiro Azuma), a consolidated subsidiary of RIKEN TECHNOS CORPORATION (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Kazuaki Tokiwa), has commenced full-scale operation of a solar power system introduced to factory buildings.

The RIKEN TECHNOS GROUP identifies “Contribution to a sustainable global environment” as a key issue within its materiality matrix and is working to strengthen its sustainability efforts, including by responding to climate change. As part of those efforts, the Group commenced full operation of a solar power generation system at a consolidated subsidiary in Thailand, RIKEN (THAILAND) CO., LTD., in January 2026. RIKEN VIETNAM’s solar power system became fully operational in May 2026.

RIKEN VIETNAM has installed around 900 rooftop solar panels on its factory buildings, covering approximately 12% of the factory’s total power requirement. This is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by about 425 tons annually.

The RIKEN TECHNOS GROUP will continue to expand utilization of renewable energy across its entire global operation as it advances initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and realizing a sustainable society.
