R&D Structure

Organization

We engage in R&D activities in the following organizational structure.

Organization

Major R&D Areas of Each Department

Fundamental Research

Core Technology R&D Dept.:Compounds, films, etc.

Application Development

Material R&D Dept. No.1:Compounds and films for automobile parts and electric wire parts, etc.

Material R&D Dept. No.2:Compounds for consumer goods and construction materials, calendaring films, food packaging materials and products, etc.

Film Processing R&D Dept.:Films for consumer goods and construction materials, optical films, etc.

R&D Centers

We have four R&D Centers in Japan shown below.

R&D Centers
R&D Center (Tokyo)

R&D Centers for Material Designing

  • R&D Center (Tokyo)

Our R&D Center in Tokyo plays the core role among our R&D departments. The Center is fully equipped with various laboratory facilities for manufacturing prototypes for material designing, product assessment facilities, and middle-sized prototype manufacturing machinery for manufacturing samples to submit to customers. The structure to engage in development from the aspects of mixing, kneading, and film manufacturing technologies is established in the R&D Center in Tokyo.

  • R&D Center (Mie)

Our R&D Center in Mie engages in a part of the process of developing compounds for automobiles. Located next to the key compound factory for closer engagement with the production site, the structure to enhance the development accuracy is established in the R&D Center in Mie.

R&D Centers for Film Processing

  • R&D Center (Saitama)

Our R&D Center in Saitama is the central site of our R&D activities and analysis concerning film processing. The Center is equipped with various laboratory facilities for prototype manufacturing for film processing, product assessment facilities, and analysis equipment. The structure to develop processing technologies such as embossing, laminating, and coating is established in the R&D Center in Saitama.

  • R&D Center (Gunma)

Our R&D Center in Gunma engages in the development of optical films and window films. By securing close engagement with the production site, the structure to enhance the development accuracy is established in the R&D Center in Gunma.
